The conference continues a CCSS tradition devoted to exploring ideas and activities by which social studies educators can help students make intelligent decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world.

California Council for the Social Studies is requesting proposal submissions to present at the 54th Annual CCSS Conference: "Bridges to the Future."  The following strands will be highlighted in the upcoming conference:

Scholars Series: What advances, changes and challenges face social studies in the coming decades?

Project Based Learning: Describe how Project Based Learning engages students in authentic learning experiences.

21st Century Skills: Describe how students gain knowledge and skills to succeed as effective citizens, workers and leaders.

Technology: Describe how technology and the use of multimedia resources can be used in or outside the classroom.


Application Process:

1. All presenters are required to be registered members of CCSS join/renew today!

4. Acceptance/non-acceptance notices will be e-mailed to all session contact persons by the end of October.

5. *Lead presenters must register for the conference at the discounted rate of $50.00.
