Proposal Guidelines
Deadline: July 12, 2013
Presentation Formats:
Sessions: Informal presentations that include opportunities for presenter-audience interaction and participant-participant interaction (60 minutes).
Workshops: A more in-depth format that includes presentation, interaction, practice of applications, and hands-on experiences (120 minutes).
Technology Sessions: Special tech facility will be available for presentations requiring the use of an internet connection. Space, however is limited. Priority will be given to those presentations that provide examples of innovative uses of technology in social studies curricula. Presentation facility will be equipped with Windows based computer, LCD panel, and internet connection (60 minutes).
Notifications:
Acceptance/ non-acceptance notices will be e-mailed to all session contact persons by mid-October. Scheduling information will be sent to all contact persons in early January.
Room Setup:
Presenters may choose between theater style seating or round tables. Each room comes equipped with a projection screen and utility cart. Each presenter must provide their own LCD projector, laptop or other necessary technology.
CCSS Membership:
All Presenters are required to be members in order to receive a discounted registration.
*Lead presenters must register for the conference at the discounted rate of $50.00.
