Local Councils

Nineteen local Councils for the Social Studies are affiliated with CCSS. Select the one nearest you when you apply for CCSS membership. To become an affiliated Council, officers are elected by the membership and the officers submit a budget, a calendar, a roster of officers, and affiliation papers to the Executive Secretary by August 30. Local council reaffiliation is affirmed by the CCSS Board of Directors at the September meeting.

Northern Regions

1. Northwest Coast(10), Redwood Empire(33)

2. North State (6)

Counties: Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, Trinity

 

3. Greater Sacramento Area (8)

Counties: Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba
