Exhibitor Information

The California Council for the Social Studies conference is your opportunity to meet face-to-face with teachers and decision makers who influence the purchase of textbooks for grades K-12, children’s trade books, curriculum programs, computer software and videos, art and craft materials, travel and study programs, and special services.

We invite you to participate as a CCSS exhibitor, advertise in the program, or sponsor an event at the 2016 annual conference. Three conference admission badges per booth are included-valued at $450 for members, $750 for non-members. Additional badges are $75.  


The California Council for the Social Studies is the largest state professional social studies education organization for teachers, administrators, and curriculum specialists in California. With a membership of over 600, CCSS includes professionals at elementary, middle, high, college and university levels spanning the disciplines of history, geography, political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, as well as the humanities and visual and performing arts. Annual conferences generally attract around 800 attendees. 


CCSS is committed to quality social studies education for all students at all grade levels. At this year’s conference sessions and workshops will reflect the entire spectrum of social studies education designed to assist teachers in the elementary, middle and senior high school classrooms.

Booth Information

CCSS will provide 8 x10 booths, pipe & drapery, chairs, and a company identification sign for all exhibitors. Exhibitors will also be listed in the conference program and are entitled to receive up to three complimentary conference badges.

CURTIN CONVENTION & EXPOSITION SERVICES, INC. ( is the show’s exhibit service provider.  Exhibitors will receive a Service Kit approximately 60 days prior to the show.  The Service Kit will include show summary details as well as order forms for services (i.e. additional furnishings, freight handling, display labor, electrical, av, internet, cleaning, etc.)  For information, please contact the Exhibit Service Department at (415)883-7818 and any Curtin representative can assist you.  You may also email Curtin at


Due to limited storage at the show facility, please send all show/display materials through Curtin.  The advance warehouse address is stated in the Exhibitor Service Kit along with the shipping instructions and associated fees.  If you do not plan to ship materials, then you may arrive to the loading dock for unload assistance by Curtin.  Further details will be included in the Service Kit.
