Carrie Faria

BIO

Carrie Faria taught at the secondary level for 17 years before taking a position with the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools as a History-Social Science, ELA, and ELD Content Specialist.  In her position with the county office she facilitates workshops, presentations, and professional development as well as serves as a consultant at various school sites for grades 7-12.   She is the coordinator for Fresno County’s History Day where there are over 60 schools represented at the competition.  Carrie also coordinates Fresno County’s Mock Trial competition where 16 of the county’s top high school teams compete in a 6 round match-up for a spot at the state competition.  She is currently the Region 7 CISC History-Social Science Lead and a member of the Region 7 CLIC Project.
