Welcome to the August CCSS Spotlight: Pathways to Civic Engagement! Civic action is an
essential function of democracy. The education system is central to cultivating the qualities that will enable all students to participate in our democracy. This month’s Spotlight issue will provide a wide variety of resources to support teaching and learning.
