June/July 2022 Spotlight

CCSS

Welcome to the June-July issue of the California Council for the Social Studies Spotlight: Financial Education. California, like many states, is engaged in efforts to recommend K-12 financial education in order to prepare students for one of their most important life literacies: personal finance. To help you plan for learning with your students, CCSS is excited to share investigative questions, resources, book titles and strategies. Students can begin in early grades to learn how to be consumers who manage money and form behaviors associated with future adult financial capability and understanding of global economic conditions. You will also find calendar relevant resources in this month’s Spotlight.
